Jewson – Warehouse Stock Control System

Project description

The warehouse guns were Windows CE 4.0: almost no memory, and a network that was there when it felt like it. Any design that asked the server for every price check would have stalled in the aisle.

We put a cut-down dataset on the device and a sync that pushed and pulled when the radio was up. Price check, replenishment, goods receipt, and labels printed on the gun. The server sat in the warehouse. The deadline did not move.
