Systems work

Software services

The company behind Gateway Solver, HMRC-recognised since 2004 and originally incorporated in 2003, also takes a written brief for on-premises AI, workflow automation, a design, a build, a data move, or the hardware that has to sit next to the software. Software that has to reach HMRC on deadline is a good school for the rest.

Start with the constraint

Send what is already true: a codebase, a database, a pile of files, or the step someone retypes every Monday. You get a plain answer on whether it is in scope, and a price built from that note rather than from a discovery workshop.

What “in scope” means here

  1. On-premises AI and workflow automation, with the model on hardware you control and inside a job a person is still doing by hand
  2. Windows, web, mobile, and cloud systems, with the source of a bespoke build handed over at the end
  3. A database chosen, moved, or reported on, whether that is Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Access, or the files people actually have
  4. A review of software we wrote, and prototypes for the lock, sensor, or part that software has to talk to

The sections

Before you write, it may help to see what the same people have already built. Selected systems are on the portfolio.
