What does the GDPR mean for me?
2017 note: GDPR applied to UK organisations that hold personal data, including after Brexit.
From May 2018 the GDPR applied to organisations that collect or store personal data of people in Europe, including the UK, which had already said it would keep the regime after Brexit. The practical parts were encryption, access control, a way to forget someone, and breach notification, and they applied just as much to a club spreadsheet as to a payroll bureau.
Our current privacy notice is on the privacy page. This company now follows Isle of Man law, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Applied GDPR.
