Police – Biometrics and Facial Recognition

Working within a small unit as part of a larger team project, we developed the User Interface for the next generation of “Video Witness” a UK Police IT Organization product for the Video Capture and Biometric analysis of individuals.

An individual’s image is captured by an officer using a webcam after going through the PACE (Police And Criminal Evidence) checks. The image of the individual is then captured by the system and analysed for biometric markers..

It was a multi-tiered solution, written using Microsoft Technologies.
